Summary: The Housekeeper (Seasonal) role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned properties to ensure a welcoming environment for guests. The position requires attention to detail and efficiency to contribute to an exceptional hospitality experience. The Housekeeper will perform various cleaning tasks, manage property security, and fulfill guest requests while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain assigned properties to the highest standard, ensuring readiness at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, staircases, lifts, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas using appropriate products and equipment.
  • Run water outlets regularly to prevent legionella growth, record results, and report any fluctuations.
  • Periodically turn mattresses following health and safety procedures.
  • Manage pre-arrival setups, during-stay services, and departure cleaning as required.
  • Secure properties by correctly disarming and setting alarms and reporting any issues to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Ensure only authorised persons enter the property and that contractors adhere to company policies.
  • Report maintenance issues and discrepancies in laundry or other services to the supervisor.
  • Assist with stock takes, monitor housekeeping equipment, and ensure timely replacements.
  • Maintain crockery, cutlery, and table linen stores, reporting damages to carpets or furnishings.
  • Operate all electrical appliances safely and maintain clean and tidy storage areas.
  • Fulfil guest requests promptly and manage food orders, ensuring accuracy.
  • Care for house pets and assist with children as required.
  • Follow all Health and Safety regulations and handle manual tasks as needed.
  • Complete any additional tasks as requested by management.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to speak and understand English (Essential).
  • Experience in professional housekeeping and ability to handle the physical demands of the role (Desirable).
  • Safe handling of hazardous chemicals training (Desirable).
  • Valid UK driver's license, preferably manual (Desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
