Summary: The Head of Quality Assurance role involves leading the Quality Assurance team within a Biotech organization in the UK. The position focuses on maintaining and improving the GMP-compliant Quality Management System, ensuring audit readiness, and overseeing supplier qualifications and performance. The role also requires effective communication of quality risks and solutions to senior management. This is a contract position for 12 months at 1.0 FTE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead QA staff, including QP/RP roles where applicable.
- Maintain and continually improve the GMP-compliant Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure audit readiness and lead internal, supplier, and regulatory inspection activities.
- Conduct internal audits and monitor the timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee External Partners & Suppliers (supplier qualification, audits, and performance monitoring).
- Communicate quality risks and solutions to senior management.
- Help to train new and existing staff on any updated SOPs.

- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven experience in QA leadership.
