Summary: The role of Head of PMO/Programme Delivery Lead is an interim leadership position within Central Government, focused on overseeing PMO leadership, programme management, and delivery management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in complex environments and be adept at managing multiple workstreams while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead PMO, programme delivery, governance, and reporting functions within complex environments.
  • Deliver programmes using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with hands-on experience in Jira and Confluence.
  • Manage complex stakeholder environments, drive accountability, and communicate effectively at executive and operational levels.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams, resource planning, capacity management, and lead junior delivery or PMO teams.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in PMO leadership and programme delivery.
  • Strong background in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.

Salary (Rate): £800pd

Our client - Central Government - is seeking the addition of an experienced Head of PMO on an interim basis.

This is a highly important leadership role requiring a hands-on individual who can operate across PMO leadership, programme management and delivery management simultaneously.

Key skills/experience:

  • Extensive experience leading PMO, programme delivery, governance and reporting functions within complex environments
  • Strong background delivering programmes across Agile and Waterfall methodologies with hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, drive accountability and communicate effectively at executive and operational levels
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams, resource planning, capacity management and leading junior delivery or PMO teams

This position will require a weekly onsite presence in the Scotland office (East Kilbride).
