Summary: The Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer role involves servicing and repairing domestic boilers for a housing association on a subcontractor basis. The position requires a qualified gas engineer with at least two years of experience and specific gas qualifications. The successful candidate will work within a guaranteed local radius and be part of a call-out rota. Weekly pay and full van stock are provided as part of the benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing gas systems and appliances, including boilers, heaters, and cookers
- Breakdowns including fault finding and diagnosing
- Call out rota 1 in 4 weeks
- Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure systems are working efficiently and meet safety standards
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times
- Maintain good communication with clients and team members
Key Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of gas systems and appliances, including boilers, heaters, and cookers
- Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1
- Full UK driving license
- Clean DBS
