Summary: The role is for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor working with a leading regional contractor on hotel refurbishment projects. The position requires experience in managing contracts from start to finish, with a focus on JCT contracts. The role involves both office and site work, necessitating daily commuting to Greater Manchester and occasional travel to other sites in the NW and Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contracts from commencement to completion for hotel refurbishment projects.
- Work closely with the Commercial Director and other team members.
- Attend site meetings and travel to various locations as required.
- Ensure projects meet turnover targets and maintain relationships with key clients.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
- Familiarity with JCT contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen and project management skills.
- Ability to commute to Greater Manchester and travel to sites in the NW and Midlands.
Salary (Rate): £340.00 daily

I am working with a leading regional contractor in their search for an experienced Freelance QS. You’ll be working with an experienced Commercial Director initially working on 2, hotel refurbishment projects.
Primarily contracts are based within the NW and Midlands so you’ll need to be prepared to occasionally travel to site for meetings.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements/Reasons to apply:
- We are looking for an experienced QS who has commercially lead schemes from commencement to completion.
- The contractor in question have secured their turnover targets for the year with more expected to come from key, repeat clients.
- I’m looking for somebody who has worked for a main contractor utilising JCT contracts.
- This role will be a mixture of head office & site based, you’ll need to be able to commute to Greater Manchester daily and prepared to undertake site meetings as and when.
- This will be a long-term position with rates between £300.00 - £340.00 a day for the right person.
