FP&A Analyst

Summary: The FP&A Analyst role involves leading the preparation of monthly management accounts for two business units, overseeing group reporting processes, and conducting in-depth financial analysis. The position requires managing budgets, financial forecasts, and compliance with regulatory requirements while supervising accounts payable and receivable functions. The role is offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract within a global manufacturing business. The position supports hybrid working arrangements and requires strong FP&A experience and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly group reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of monthly results and provide variance explanations and ad-hoc reporting.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts, including financial modelling.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions for efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT returns and Intrastat reporting.
• Manage commercial controlling activities, including order intake and sales reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits and corporate tax returns.

Key Skills:

• Good FP&A experience.
• QBE or recognized accountancy qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) or working towards it.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Excel, including ERP systems (SAP).
