Summary: The role of Interim Financial Controller involves overseeing financial operations for a prestigious SME in Manchester on a 3-month contract. The position requires the preparation of financial statements and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month-end and year-end accounts
  • Preparation of balance sheet and P&L reconciliations as required, journals and ledger maintenance
  • Monthly reconciliation of the prepayments & accruals
  • In-depth checking of monthly accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Producing monthly management accounts, including commentary & strategic review for Board level

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • A good understanding of VAT and tax matters
  • Hands-on approach
  • Ability to prepare and report on financial reports & management accounts to a high level of detail
  • Sound knowledge of accounting software applications, e.g. Xero, Sage, Quikbooks

Chilworth Partnership are delighted to be supporting a prestigious SME, based in Manchester, in their search for an Interim Financial Controller on a 3 month contract to cover some additional leave in the team. For the right individual, there might be the potential to go temp to perm.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of month-end and year-end accounts
  • Preparation of balance sheet and P&L reconciliations as required, journals and ledger maintenance.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the prepayments & accruals
  • In-depth checking of monthly accounts to ensure accuracy.
