Summary: The Financial Analyst (Graduate) role at Flutter is designed for a recent accounting or finance graduate who will support the Group Financial Control team in delivering financial and management information. The position involves collaborating with experts to enhance accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and contributing to financial reporting. This hybrid role is based in London and offers a one-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will engage in various financial tasks while pursuing operational improvements within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end close in line with Group Reporting deadlines for assigned areas.
  • Drive standardisation and automation of processes to improve efficiency and reporting timelines.
  • Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations across multiple Flutter Group entities within agreed deadlines.
  • Post and review VAT and Corporation Tax journals, including clear-downs, intercompany entries, payments, and adjustments.
  • Support tax compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Engage proactively with assigned channel owners to improve processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with reporting requirements.
  • Pursue opportunities to reduce the monthly close process duration without compromising the quality of information produced.
  • Work with management to document accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are documented and robust.
  • Actively participate in cross-training initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager – GFC Tax on various ad hoc tax projects & tasks.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned.

Key Skills:

  • Registered student with a recognised Accounting body.
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in a similar financial reporting environment.
  • Strong academic credentials (e.g. honours degree).
  • Proven track record of consistent delivery in a similar role.
  • Experience developing and implementing operational improvements.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with high volumes of data in a highly automated environment.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Flutter is seeking a highly motivated recent accounting/finance graduate with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Financial Analyst within Group Financial Control. You will play a crucial role in delivering financial and management information to both internal and external parties.
