Summary: The role of an English Teacher (SEN) in Enfield involves delivering engaging lessons to secondary-aged pupils with special educational needs, including autism and complex needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC.
- Plan, deliver, and assess learning that meets individual education plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with a supportive team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
- A passion for teaching students with additional needs and an adaptable, patient approach.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Current, enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
