English Teacher

Summary: The role of an English Teacher (SEN) in Enfield involves delivering engaging lessons to secondary-aged pupils with special educational needs, including autism and complex needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC.
• Plan, deliver, and assess learning that meets individual education plans (IEPs).
• Work closely with a supportive team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing.

Key Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
• A passion for teaching students with additional needs and an adaptable, patient approach.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Current, enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
