Summary: This role is for an experienced Employment Lawyer on a locum basis, offering a 3-month rolling contract with a well-respected London local authority. The position involves handling a diverse caseload of employment law matters, with flexible working arrangements including one day per week in the office. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Employment law and be able to manage their own cases effectively. Immediate availability is preferred for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of employment law matters including discrimination, unfair dismissal, TUPE, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend court and chambers for litigation matters as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively within a local authority litigation team.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on employment law issues.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to case management and client communication.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of Employment law.
  • Experience handling a variety of employment law cases.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Immediate availability or short notice to start.

Salary (Rate): £55 per hour

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a well-versed local authority litigation team on an initial 3-month contract that is likely to be on-going long term. This role offers flexible working with one day per week in the office.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of Employment law and will be able to handle their own caseload. The caseload will include a variety of employment matters including:

  • Discrimination
  • Unfair Dismissal
  • TUPE
  • Settlement Agreements
  • Court and chambers attendance for litigation matters as appropriate
