Summary: This role is for a Contract Test Manager responsible for shaping and delivering the testing strategy within a leading business process outsourcing provider. The position involves leading a team of testers, overseeing testing activities, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes. The contract is for 8 months and requires one day per week in the Cardiff office. The role is classified as outside IR35 with a daily rate of £425.00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and inspire a team of System Testers
- Create and deliver test strategies to ensure quality, stability, and successful project delivery
- Oversee day to day testing activities including system, regression and integration testing
- Support business-led UAT activities, ensuring readiness for live deployment
- Provide expert advice on testing best practices, tools, and methodologies
- Drive continuous improvement across all testing processes
- Manage and report on key testing metrics, performance, and quality standards
- Collaborate with software engineering and product teams
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of testing principles, lifecycle phases, and best practices
- Hands-on experience managing testing in complex environments
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

This is an 8 months contract assignment (outside IR35) to start asap, working out of the Cardiff office once per week.
The Opportunity As a Test Manager, you'll be responsible for shaping and delivering the testing strategy, building an effective test capability and driving continuous improvement in test automation, integration and quality assurance.
