Summary: The role of Contract Full-Stack Engineer involves rebuilding complex Excel-based workflows into efficient, cloud-hosted web applications for a fintech client. The position requires expertise in Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL to develop APIs and dynamic user interfaces. The contract is for three months and classified as outside IR35. The engineer will work with a lean tech stack to enhance data handling and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rebuilding spreadsheet-heavy workflows as performant, web-based tools
  • Developing Flask APIs and dynamic UIs using JavaScript and data visualisation libraries
  • Structuring and transforming data using pandas, openpyxl, and pydantic
  • Writing and tuning advanced PostgreSQL queries, including work with JSONB

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python (Flask)
  • Experience with JavaScript (vanilla, Bootstrap, Tabulator, Plotly)
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Data manipulation skills using pandas and openpyxl
