The Role
At dnata, our Commercial team is responsible for winning and retaining the airline partnerships that power our business. As Commercial Support Lead, you will be the operational backbone of that team — bringing structure, rigour and energy to the full lifecycle of our tenders, contracts and commercial projects. This is a role for someone who thrives on getting things right: meticulous with documentation, confident with data and natural at keeping multiple workstreams on track. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Legal and Pricing, as well as engaging directly with airline customers and suppliers.
What You'll Be Doing
Tender & Contract Management
You'll co-ordinate tender processes from initiation through to submission, maintaining timelines, action logs and document registers throughout. You'll collate inputs from across the business — Operations, Finance, Pricing and Safety — to produce polished, governance-compliant submissions. Alongside this, you'll prepare and administer contract documentation including SGHAs, SLAs, addendums and subcontracts, managing version control and approvals at every stage. A central contracts register will be yours to maintain, with clear visibility of renewal dates, notice periods, RPI clauses and other key milestones — escalating triggers proactively.
Commercial Co-ordination & Projects
You'll own the accuracy of contract, rate and opportunity data within Salesforce, ensuring the team always has reliable commercial intelligence to hand. This includes producing recurring reports and structured data summaries to support renewal planning and bid/no-bid decisions, validating rate implementation against approved schedules, and flagging discrepancies for resolution. You'll also maintain the commercial materials library and support the delivery of commercial initiatives, keeping stakeholders aligned to agreed timelines.
What We're Looking For
You don't need to have worked in aviation — but you do need to be someone who takes real pride in doing things properly. We're looking for strong advanced Excel and data skills, CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred), and a high standard of written communication. Experience in commercial or contract administration, tender co-ordination or a regulated commercial environment would be a distinct advantage. Familiarity with SGHAs, SLAs or aviation commercial frameworks is beneficial but not essential.
How You'll Show Up
You'll be trusted with sensitive commercial information and expected to operate with discretion and good judgement at all times. We're looking for someone who takes personal accountability for accuracy and delivery, proactively flags issues before they become problems, and collaborates openly across teams. You'll be calm and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, building credibility through consistency and thoroughness.
Who You'll Work With
Internally, you'll work closely with the Commercial, Finance, Operations and Legal teams, as well as our EXCO leadership. Externally, you'll liaise with airline customers — both existing and prospective — along with third-party suppliers and subcontractors.
If you're a detail-oriented commercial professional looking to build your career in a dynamic, international business, we'd love to hear from you
