Summary: The role of Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer involves joining a multinational organization's in-house legal department on a 12-14 month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating high-value, complex commercial contracts and agreements.
- Assisting the business with legal matters including compliance, anti-bribery, and disputes.
- Balancing legal risks with the commercial and operational needs of the business.
- Providing legal advice and support to various departments within the organization.
- Engaging in communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- UK qualified solicitor with at least 4 years PQE.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial and business-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage legal risks effectively.
- In-house experience preferred, but private practice lawyers with relevant skills are considered.
