Summary: The CNI Monitoring SME role requires an individual with expertise in monitoring solutions to support IT infrastructure monitoring for a leading global IT services supplier. The position is hybrid, allowing remote work while requiring attendance at the Warwick/Wokingham office three days a week. This is a temporary contract lasting over six months, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical knowledge on monitoring solutions, including BMC, BHOM, and TSOM
- Oversee IT infrastructure monitoring, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance and availability of services
- Key duties include configuring and managing BMC monitoring tools, analysing system alerts and events, implementing monitoring frameworks, and supporting incident and problem management processes within the monitoring environment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for expertise in monitoring solutions
- Set up, configure, and maintain BMC monitoring systems and related integrations
- Continuously monitor, assess, and resolve issues based on alerts and events generated by BMC tools
- Service Model Development: Design and manage service models to understand the dependencies and health of IT services
- Incident & Problem Support: Collaborate with IT operations teams to investigate and resolve incidents and issues related to monitored systems
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve monitoring capabilities and streamline IT operations
- Prepare for and ensure completion of all required audits
Key Skills:
- Familiarity with BMC, BHOM, and TSOM monitoring tools is beneficial but not mandatory
- Able to work as part of a team to manage technical deliverables and change management; engaging with Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues
- Strong understanding of monitoring tools, operating systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network security principles
- Good grasp of network protocols, security best practices, and common cyber attack vectors

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires CNI Monitoring SME (SC Cleared/SC Eligible) to be based at their client's offices either in Warwick/Wokingham, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Warwick/Wokingham office 3 days per week
