Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Staff Dining Room and Directors Dining Rooms.
- Deliver catering services for staff, students, and high-profile external guests.
- Provide high-quality catering using fresh food.
- Lead and motivate the catering team to ensure excellent service.
- Contribute to the development of a customer-focused service strategy.
- Oversee budgetary control and auditing processes.
- Plan and organize catering operations effectively.
Key Skills:
- Degree/HND/HCIMA/Apprenticeship Level 5 in Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience in high-volume diverse catering operations, including fine dining.
- Management experience in staff leadership and customer care.
- Knowledge of auditing and budgetary control in catering.
- Experience in higher education or quality cost sector catering.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance
LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering manages restaurants, cafes, bars and shops across campus and halls of residence providing catering, retail and hospitality services to our staff and student community.
LSE Catering are looking for a Catering Manager to manage the Staff Dining Room, Directors Dining Rooms, hospitality and delivering catering services for the area. The post holder will be a passionate individual who can provide high quality catering for our international staff, students, and high-profile external guests. They will be enthusiastic, positive, motivated and with great people skills. The successful candidate will contribute towards providing a professional, distinctive, contemporary and innovative customer-focused service in line with the Residential and Catering Services strategy and assist the team in providing excellent service.
Candidates should demonstrate
- Degree/HND/HCIMA/Apprenticeship Level 5 in Management or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience of working in high volume diverse catering operations including hospitality fine dining using good quality fresh food
- Management experience including staff leadership, customer care, auditing and budgetary control in large scale or multi-unit catering
- Higher education or quality cost sector catering experience
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
