Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Purchase Requisitions independently for all required goods and services.
- Review PRs to ensure completeness, technical accuracy, and alignment with budgets.
- Prepare tender strategies and procurement documentation, outlining processes, timelines, and qualification criteria for vendors.
- Liaise daily with bidders, inspectors, vendors and the wider project team to ensure alignment of requirements.
- Support vendors during the preparation of technical and commercial proposals while maintaining confidentiality.
- Analyse and compare vendor submissions, recommending actions to optimise cost, compliance and project performance.
- Ensure all procurement activities follow established processes, governance and project controls.
Key Skills:
- 4–5+ years’ experience as a Buyer or similar procurement role.
- Experience purchasing both goods and services within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
- Strong understanding of project procurement, tendering, commercial risk and vendor management.
- Technical Skills in purchasing and tendering strategy.
- Supplier engagement and negotiation skills.
- Goods & services sourcing expertise.
- IT Skills including SAP and MS365.
- Must reside in the UK with full, permanent Right to Work.
- Ability to work on site in Talacre full-time after initial onboarding period.
- Comfortable operating under an Outside IR35 contractor model.

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support a major decommissioning and carbon capture project. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Buyer will act as the on-site focal point for all procurement activities relating to both goods and services, covering direct and indirect purchasing. The first month will be based in Kingston upon Thames for onboarding and project familiarisation (accommodation not provided due to Outside IR35 status), with the remainder of the assignment based full-time at the project site in Talacre.
