Summary: The Senior Business Analyst for Data Governance will establish a data governance function for a client, focusing on both structured and unstructured data. This role involves creating a governance framework and strategy, ensuring the effective implementation of data governance processes supported by technology tools. The position requires experience in data governance implementations and the ability to deliver projects with minimal oversight. The contract is initially for six months with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build out the governance framework and strategy for data governance.
- Deliver end-to-end data governance processes in unstructured environments.
- Ensure governance across large IT projects.
- Structure data from an InfoSec perspective and integrate into InfoSec frameworks.
- Gather requirements and create data domain models, glossaries, and flow diagrams.
- Support tech tools to deliver governance processes effectively.
- Design and build data catalogs and user stories.
- Work on tech projects alongside governance initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data governance implementations.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Stack, Purview, or Collibra.
- Ability to deliver projects with limited steering.
- Experience in designing data catalogs and user story work.
- Strong understanding of InfoSec frameworks.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and data modeling.
