Job Title: Building Safety Project Manager

Salary / Pay Rate: 350 - 400 Umbrella

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Building Safety Project Manager to lead and deliver the Council's Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy. This is a key role within the Building Safety Team, working alongside residents, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure that building safety is maintained to the highest standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing, amending, and enhancing the Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy to ensure it meets evolving needs and regulations.
- Liaising with the Building Safety Regulator to ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborating with the Housing Resident Engagement team to support and enhance the High Rise Living residents group.
- Preparing and issuing resident communications related to Building Assessment Certificate applications.
- Coordinating with internal council teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth and effective delivery of projects.
- Acting as a vital member of the Building Safety Team to deliver safe, secure, and high-quality housing for all Newham residents.

- Strong understanding of building safety regulations and resident engagement strategies.
- Ability to liaise effectively with residents, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise communications for residents.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
