About the Job

We’re seeking a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support maintenance operations at a leading aviation services provider in Teesside, UK. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of base maintenance activities across commercial aircraft types. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you’ll oversee aircraft maintenance from inspection through to release, maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness, documentation accuracy, and safety compliance. MUST HAVE CAA 737NG/MAX TYPE RATING

Responsibilities

  • Aircraft Maintenance & Certification: Perform and certify base maintenance activities in accordance with approved maintenance data, regulatory requirements, and company procedures. Exercise certifying privileges as authorised under CAA Part-66 and company approvals. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to an exceptional standard.
  • Supervision & Coordination: Supervise and allocate tasks to maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of aircraft checks. Review work packages, identify and correct discrepancies, and ensure maintenance records are accurate and complete. Collaborate with Quality, Safety, and Compliance teams to uphold organisational standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a proactive safety culture by reporting occurrences, identifying hazards, and contributing to continuous improvement. Maintain awareness of Human Factors principles and ensure adherence to EASA/CAA regulations. Support internal audits and assist in implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and aircraft type courses to maintain up-to-date technical proficiency. Recommend improvements to maintenance processes, tooling, and work practices. Contribute to maintaining an efficient and compliant working environment.

Qualifications

  • UK CAA Part-66 B1 or B2 License (essential).
  • Current type rating on Boeing 737NG and/or Airbus A320 CEO (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience in base maintenance environments.
  • Valid Human Factors, EWIS, and SFAR88 training.
  • Sound understanding of CAMO principles and maintenance data systems.
