Summary: The role of AWS DevOps Engineer involves working with a consultancy on a 9-month contract, requiring the candidate to travel to the Newcastle office twice a week. The position focuses on writing and maintaining infrastructure and configuration as code within an AWS cloud environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing cloud-based applications and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment is also a key aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing and maintaining Infrastructure, and Configuration as Code into an AWS cloud environment.
- Experience of developing and supporting cloud-based applications in AWS on a Kubernetes cluster.
- Knowledge of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and jobs within Gitlab CI.
- Experience of working in a DevOps environment - Continuous Integration & Deployment, Delivery methods and techniques, including agile scrum experience.
- Experience of supporting and guiding Engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment deploying to cloud infrastructure in AWS.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Gitlab CI.
- Experience in a DevOps environment and agile methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
