Summary: The AWS Developer role involves joining the Digital Platform Team to enhance digital trading solutions and support existing cloud services. The position requires collaboration in an agile environment, focusing on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure digital services. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and team members in an agile environment
- Write clean, well-structured code aligned to engineering best practice
- Own, scope and deliver clearly defined work items, reporting progress in agile ceremonies
- Develop, support and maintain production-grade cloud services, ensuring performance, security and stability
- Utilise observability tooling to monitor live environments and remediate issues
- Implement automated testing and contribute to CI/CD pipeline excellence
- Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and engineering quality
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
- Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and technical partners
- Demonstrate continuous learning and promote engineering excellence and best practice
Key Skills:
- Strong experience building API solutions, including API management (eg Apigee), versioning and developer onboarding
- Proven experience developing AWS serverless applications, including Lambdas and Step Functions
- Hands-on experience in Typescript
- Knowledge of event-driven integration patterns
- Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling (eg Jenkins, Bamboo, Git)
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data models
- Good understanding of security standards and secure coding practices
- Experience with automated testing and modern software engineering standards
- Proven experience working in agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
