Summary: The Assistant Financial Controller role in Berkhamsted offers an opportunity for a qualified professional to manage unreconciled accounts, improve processes, and support the audit process within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of unreconciled accounts, ensuring completion and accuracy
- Identify areas for process improvement
- Collaborate and business partner with other business units
- Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring a smooth audit process
- Lead the redesign of the month-end closing process
- Guide and mentor junior members of staff
- Work closely with executive team
Key Skills:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications or equivalent
- Proven track record in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong knowledge of Excel and financial systems
- Experience with audit process and month-end closing procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team
