Summary: The Certified Appian Developer will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable low-code business applications using the Appian platform. This role requires strong technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve enterprise business objectives. The position is available for remote work or onsite in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Appian development and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, architecture, and development of Appian-based business applications using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and developers to understand and translate functional requirements into robust Appian solutions.
- Guide a team of Appian developers through the full SDLC requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding and security standards, and promote reusable design patterns.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve defects in Appian workflows and integrations.
- Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and integration teams to ensure smooth application delivery and deployment.
- Stay up to date with the latest Appian platform features and contribute to process improvements and technical standards within the team.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of total IT experience, with 6 to 10 years of Appian development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Appian BPM, SAIL, process modeling, rules, records, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Appian integration using REST, SOAP, and external systems.
- Proficient in creating and customizing Appian plug-ins, Smart Services, and expression rules.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and managing Appian best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Appian version upgrades, and deployment methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-domain environments (e.g., healthcare, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, etc.).
