Summary: The AI ML Architect role involves leading a team in financial services, focusing on AI solution design, machine learning engineering, and stakeholder engagement. This is a contract position based in Glasgow with a pay rate of £537 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Solution Design & Architecture
- Own the full Agentic AI pipeline from concept to deployment
- Architect scalable infrastructure for financial intelligence and decision automation
- Translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable design patterns
- AI & ML Engineering
- Design, train, and optimize ML models for fraud detection, risk scoring, predictive analytics, and regulatory compliance
- Build AI systems using Python, AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, pgvector, Redis, and other OSS tools
- Agentic Framework Development
- Implement multi-agent systems using LangGraph, Crew AI, and Strands SDK
- Integrate agents into Kubernetes-native environments with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab
- Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience in AI/ML solutions within financial services
- Partner with financial SMEs, IT teams, and executives to identify high-impact opportunities
- Drive workshops, technical discovery sessions, and AI strategy formulation
- Model Operations & MLOps
- Build robust pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment
- Establish automated processes for scalability, reproducibility, and continual learning
- Advanced Capabilities
- Design Real Time analytics solutions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical considerations in financial AI systems
Key Skills:
- Proven track record as an AI Architect or Senior ML Engineer in financial domains
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and NLP-based applications
- Strong proficiency with Python, AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock), and open-source toolkits
- Experience with vector DBs, caching systems, and agent orchestration frameworks
- Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and version control workflows
- Consulting background with ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field
