Key Responsibilities:
- Support multiple areas of the hospital, including Emergency Department, Admissions, Day Surgery, and Theatres.
- Act as the first point of contact for patients, managing calls and admissions.
- Assist nursing and admin teams with paperwork and data entry.
- Clerk patients into the Emergency Department and manage the switchboard.
- Work across a rotating roster, including weekends.

What You Will Do
As a Casual Administration Officer, you’ll play an important role in keeping our hospital functioning at its best. Working across a rotating roster you’ll gain broad exposure to the hospital environment and develop a wide-ranging skillset that will make you a versatile, confident, and highly employable healthcare administrator. You’ll have the opportunity to support multiple areas of the hospital, including:
- Emergency Department (ED)
- Admissions
- Day Surgery
- Theatres and Couriers
You’ll be the friendly first point of contact—welcoming patients, taking calls, and helping with admissions by keeping their details up to date. You’ll work alongside the nursing and admin teams with day-to-day paperwork and data entry, and you’ll also help clerk patients into the Emergency Department while keeping the switchboard running smoothly and calls directed to the right place.
