Summary: Our client, a large local government organization, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for an initial 3-month contract that may be extended. The role involves providing complex statistical analyses related to children's data, assisting with data projects, and presenting findings to senior officers. The position requires the use of specialized statistical software and includes administrative functions related to data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide complex statistical analyses relating to children's data and information.
- Collect, verify, and calculate data for statutory returns.
- Present and explain data analyses and reports to senior officers, including formal and informal presentations.
- Assist with data projects and produce reports explaining results to various levels of staff.
- Use specialized statistical software to produce data analyses.
- Assist the team in publishing data and documents on the Portal, including scanning large documents and maintaining an electronic filing system.
- Input and retrieve data from computerized systems.
- Provide advice and information to schools and officers regarding children's attainment data and census data.
- Perform administrative functions involving data importing and data entry into databases/spreadsheets.

Salary (Rate): £28.00 Hourly

You will
To provide complex statistical analyses relating to Children's data and information
To collect, verify and calculate data and information for statutory returns
To present and explain to senior officers data analyses and reports. Giving both formal and informal presentations. To assist with data projects. Produce reports and explain results to various levels of staff

To assist the Team in publishing data and documents on the Portal. (To do this the post holder will be expected to scan multiple large documents and maintain an electronic filing system.)
To use specialised statistical software to produce data analyses and input and retrieve data from computerised systems
To assist in giving advice and information to schools and officers in relation to children's attainment data; census data; direction in the use of some software products
Provide some administrative functions, which involve data importing and data entry into the sections numerous databases/spreadsheets
