Summary: The role of Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst involves working in a fast-paced delivery environment in Glasgow, UK, with a mandatory onsite presence for three days a week. The position requires strong technical analysis and data expertise to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. Candidates will engage in analyzing complex systems, defining requirements, and supporting Agile delivery teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements
- Identify interdependencies across systems and processes, supporting effective change delivery
- Manage evolving requirements and scope changes with flexibility and control
- Produce high-quality documentation including:
- High-Level Design Specifications (HLDS)
- Source-to-target mappings
- Process and sequence diagrams
- Define and document both functional and non-functional requirements (eg security, performance, release strategy)
- Perform hands-on data analysis across multiple data sources
- Design data flows, transformations, and integration points
- Work closely with developers and testers to shape and refine solutions
- Support Agile delivery using SCRUM methodologies
- Actively manage stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Drive tasks to completion, demonstrating persistence and attention to detail
Key Skills:
- 10+ years' experience as a Business/System Analyst
- 7+ years' experience in technical/data-driven environments
- Strong hands-on data analysis skills including:
- Oracle
- MongoDB
- DynamoDB
- Excel
- JSON/CSV
- Proven experience in:
- Data flows and transformations
- Sequence diagrams and technical documentation
- Source-to-target data mapping
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments
